How To Make Monster Rice Krispie Treats. Whenever I take these fun, Monster Rice Krispie Treats to a party they disappear in no time (ugh and I can never stop at just one). Here I’ve made them into Halloween inspired monster treats. Such a fun easy treat the whole family will love, especially the kids!

Monster Rice Krispie Treats

Makes 12-24 treats, depending on how big your make them

Ingredients:

3 tablespoons butter
10 oz package  regular or mini marshmallows
6 cups Rice Krispies cereal
10 oz package ghoul’s mix M&Ms
Candy eyeballs
Additional 1 tablespoon butter

Directions:

Melt 3 tablespoons of butter over low heat in a large saucepan.
Add marshmallows, and stir until they are fully melted.
Remove from heat and add cereal and M&Ms. Stir until combined.
Butter your hands, then grab handfuls of the mixture and form a ball. Add eyeballs, and press them in slightly so they will stay put. Set on a baking sheet or tray.

Note: You may need to re grease your hands a time or two throughout the process, so that the mixture won’t stick to your hands.

Almond Butter – together, almond butter and maple syrup work together to create a sticky mixture that acts as a substitute for marshmallows. This way, you can make rice crispy treats without marshmallows!

What is the best way to store Rice Krispie treats?

Once you’ve cut up your extra rice crispy treats (or made balls), stack them in an airtight container. Place a sheet of wax paper in between each layer to keep them from sticking, then seal the top. You can store the container at room temperature for up to 3 days, or freeze the treats for up to 6 weeks.
